RFID Access Protection

We have developed an access protection which is based on the
RFID technology (Radio Frequency IDentification), what we call mdRFID.

If a system is equipped with this device, then it is not possible to operate it without your unique mdRFID transponder tag.

It is an option for each of our md4-200 system.
All existing md4-200 microdrones can be upgraded with this option. Our microdrone md4-1000 is equipped as standard with mdRFID.

The mdRFID protocol is intentionally not compatible with any existing standard protocol.

Both, the mdRFID reader as well as the mdRFID transponder tag are designed in extremely low power technology.

The RFID transponder tag is passive. It is supplied by the reader´s magnetic field and does not need any battery. It is designed as a keyring pendant.

mdRFID Reader
Supply voltage: 2.7V to 5.5V
Current consumption: < 5mA active, 12µA standby
Dimensions: 20x20x4mm
Weight: 1.8g

mdRFID Transponder Tag
Supply voltage: passive (supplied by the reader´s magnetic field)
Current consumption: < 25µA active
Dimensions: 20x8x4mm
Weight: 0.75g
