Microdrones CEO Shares Insights on the New EasyOne Drone LiDAR System

Vivien Heriard Dubreuil discusses the company's latest LiDAR drone surveying equipment, and why it’s designed to be smaller, faster, and more efficient based on customer feedback.

Direct from our booth at Xponential 2023, Vivien Heriard Dubreuil, CEO of Microdrones, shares his thoughts on the all-new EasyOne Drone LiDAR system, and why it was designed with our customers in mind. Watch the video below:

The EasyOne is our best LiDAR drone surveying equipment ever. Built upon our 4th-gen drone technology, all EasyOne systems are more compact, more optimized, lighter, safer and more efficient. This system delivers integration unmatched in the drone surveying industry, making it easier than ever for you to plan, fly, collect, process and visualize your geospatial data projects.

Vivien Heriard Dubreuil, CEO of Microdrones, explains why the company added the new LiDAR system to its product line-up of drone surveying equipment. “The first thing that we did when we designed the new EasyOne, is listen to our customer's feedback,” said Heriard Dubreuil. “We have been delivering a lot of drone LiDAR technology for surveyors and engineers, and the main feedback we’ve received is they wanted to have something smaller, easier to transport, easier to bring to the field, that’s faster and more efficient.”

The all new, compact EasyOne

EasyOne features a significantly smaller operational form factor with the same payload capacity as the md4-1000 platform. In addition to a smaller operational form factor, the EasyOne packs down even smaller, fitting the drone, remote, charger, two batteries and the payload into a protective storage case that’s small and light enough to bring anywhere.

“We designed the smallest LiDAR drone available on the market with three LiDAR payloads available,” Heriard Dubreuil explains. “The UHR+, which is the best Microdrones LiDAR payload available, and the UHR and the UHR lite. The EasyOne brings all the added value of Microdrones, like our exclusive mission preparation software, mdCockpit that you use to plan the mission and to operate the drone. Now, it is integrated directly on the new remote control. So instead of needing the RC and a separate tablet, everything is altogether easy and compact. That's the whole idea with this new product.”

EasyOne is a fully integrated system that can be an easy choice for serious geospatial pros. It comes with the drone, payload, RC, flight planning, post processing software, workflow, training and support all from one company.

The improved controller is completely integrated with mdCockpit. No more connecting a tablet to your remote.

Heriard Dubreuil says that they’ve packed a lot of drone technology into one of the smallest LIDAR drones on the market. “We thought about safety with this product, improving reliability and making sure that the system can provide surveyors the ability to do the best job possible. So, we’ve added Real Time Terrain Following so that the LIDAR sensor can follow the terrain, making sure that you have the right coverage and the right overlap of the ground.  With the all-new EasyOne, we’ve packed in additional features with a front-looking sensor, an FTV camera and more. Everything that we have implemented in this new drone is to improve safety and reliability. So far we have a really great response from the market for this new product.”
