It was an exciting night at the European Parliament in Brussels as the drone industry converged on the EU Drone Awards. Hosted by the European Young Innovators’ Forum (EYIF) as part of their 5th annual Unconvention 2017, the event honored the innovation and achievements of UAV companies in Europe, presenting awards for Best Manufacturer, Best Solution, and Best New Company.
The Microdrones team was thrilled to be presented with the award for Best Manufacturer. This recognition was received with great pride, as it reflects the success we are achieving as we strive toward our comany’s chief goals: implementing high-quality German engineering, delivering world-class customer service, and developing industry-leading solutions that revolutionize the way businesses do work.
More than 50 companies from 14 European Union countries were considered for these awards.
Samuel F, Sales Manager – Europe, and Mirjam B, Marketing Manager – Europe, were present at the dinner to receive the award.
“We are very proud and honored to receive the award,” said Mirjam. “It shows that we are moving in the right direction and helps us advance even more, as one of the first drone manufacturers more than 10 years ago.”
Speakers and forum panelists at the dinner discussed issues like the state of the European drone industry, aviation regulations, market challenges, and the implementation of BVLOS technology.
“It was impressive to be part of an event so full of shared passion for the drone industry,” said Mirjam. “It was also promising to hear how the EU Commission and Parliament has pledged to support the UAV companies in Europe as best as they can.”
