Surveyor Conference Season! (The Microdrones World Tour continues)

The Microdrones World Tour continues; this is the time of year for many professional surveyor conferences.

Sebastien Long and Matt Rosenbalm have been busy talking with customers throughout the U.S. Here's an overview of their recent tour stops.

January 28-30, Sebastien Long, Microdrones Sales Manager for Canada and the Northern U.S. was at the NYSAPLS 60th Annual Surveyor's Conference & Exhibition.

According to the event organizers, "Our members make up a unique combination of decision-makers, strategists, field crew, draft-persons, technology gurus, principles, managers and office staff. They will be attending our conference looking for new ideas, networking opportunities and to be educated on what is up-and-coming in the land surveying field."

The NYSAPLS represents 75% of licensed land surveyors in NY, providing critical information, education, networking opportunities and business resources.

Long explains, "This is a strong event and opportunity to show Microdrones solutions directly to the surveyors of NY State. We are always eager to connect with local professionals."

Questions came from decision makers, surveyors, drone pilots, as well as new potential clients who are seriously evaluating the technology. He adds, "Pricing, general specs and the features/benefits of photogrammetry vs. LiDAR acquisition were popular topics this year."

February 6th-8th, Sebastien was on the road in Illinois, for the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Conference

Event organizers describe the The Annual Conference as a central source for quality Professional Development Opportunities. Located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Illinois, this year's Annual Conference theme was "Setting The Standard."

Sebastien joined our valued distributor Seiler Geospatial to promote our systems and capabilities.

He explains, "I spoke with surveyors already using drones, as well as many who are eager to jump into it. The Seiler team introduced me to some great professionals, with questions focusing on LiDAR and photogrametry. There was strong interest in our mapping and LiDAR solutions."

HITTING BELOW THE (SNOW) BELT

Meanwhile, Matt Rosenbalm, Sales Manager for the Southern U.S. has been busy far below the northern snowbelt with his own tour. His most recent stop was at the 2019 Mississippi Association of Professional Surveyors Annual Conference.

Matt joined the team from NEI, our distributor for the region, to get in front of surveying professionals from Mississippi.

According to Rosenbalm, "There were many potential customers interested in learning more about the workflows of our systems, particularly that of the mdLiDAR1000 and mdLiDAR3000. The surveyors of Mississippi are always interested in advanced technology and it was great that NEI and Microdrones were able to present new solutions to them." He added, "I was able to present at the booth on a few projects some of NEI’s customers had flown, to address questions and show how Microdrones fully integrated solutions helps streamline your current workflow."

Microdrones systems and use cases were a hot topic at the event; this is a technology that professionals in Mississippi are eager to adopt.
