The Microdrones World Tour has landed in Brazil- virtually.  The Brazilian Mining Institute (IBRAM) holds, every two years, the Brazilian Congress of Open Pit Mines and Underground Mines (CBMINA), in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). The 10th edition will be held virtually April 28-29, 2021.

Microdrones will be hosting an online booth where you can virtually meet Romain Silberger, Managing Director for Microdrones Brazil and Robson Augusto the Regional Sales Manager in Brazil. Brazil is the second largest producers of iron ore globally and one of the largest mining countries in the world. Many leading mining companies around the globe already trust Microdrones solutions and by opening a local entity, Microdrones is committed to serving its global customers and, at the same time, offering Microdrone solutions to the Brazilian market.

“We are excited to be a part of the CBMINA event, traditionally one of the larger conferences in Brazil,” said Romain. “We’ve identified Brazil as one of the premiere markets for drone surveying equipment and although current safety protocols prevent large gatherings, this virtual conference is an excellent opportunity to showcase our systems, meet potential customers and answer questions about drone surveying.

The Microdrones booth is located in the Virtual Fair section of the main event. Simply click on the Microdrones/Measure link to access the booth and learn about the mdLiDAR and mdMapper product lines from Microdrones. The forum consists of a major conference, plenary sessions, technical sessions, workshops, debates, presentation and awards for technical works related to mining.

Among the main purposes of the event is the promotion of an exchange of ideas between students, professors, researchers, authorities, executives and professionals linked to the mineral sector. The main idea is that interested parties publicly present new proposals and approaches for the constant evolution of Brazilian mining activity.
