UAV Surveying & Mapping

Learn about using UAVs in Surveying, Inspecting, and Mapping in new Microdrones GeoDays Video

Microdrones hosted their very first GeoDays June 12th through the 14th at our German location in Siegen. You can watch some of the highlights, meet a few of our team members and hear what our attendees thought of the event in the Geo Days video below.

GeoDays 2019 was an opportunity for customers and geospatial experts to learn how to make drones a part of their Surveying, Mapping, LiDAR and inspection work.  Microdrones experts were on hand to show how our integrated systems create powerful data deliverables like 3D pointclouds, orthomosaics, or methane inspection concern maps. In addition, the Microdrones team conducted flight demonstrations, product presentations, and a facility tour.

“GeoDays was an excellent opportunity to showcase Microdrones and give our customers a chance to see behind the scenes,” said Mirjam Baumer, Microdrones Director of Marketing for EMEA and new Territories. “We showed our invited guests the company, gave them an introduction to the UAV market, our products as well as some flight planning and processing. It was also very nice to meet our team, tour the facility, and get more of a hands-on experience with Microdrones.”

Sebastien Besting, Microdrones Flight Operations Manager helped with the coordination of the event. “I think an event like GeoDays is not only important for our company, but also to our clients,” he said. “They’re able to get a better understanding of what work we can do for them and what they can achieve with our systems. Overall it has been a very successful event with positive feedback.”

Geo Days 2019 was very well received by the potential customers and geospatial experts in attendance.  “It was nice to see all the work behind the scenes,” said Hugo Toll, CEO of Geosoft Estonia. “We were able to see what Microdrones is doing to make professional tools.”
