Seiler Geodrones hosts 1st Drone Demo Day with Microdrones

DRONE DEMO DAY

Microdrones looks forward to the opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of our integrated solutions. So, when Seiler Instrument, a distributor for Microdrones, announced they were having a Drone Demo Day in St Louis, we were happy to participate. Watch a video recap below:

This was the first Drone Demo Day hosted by Seiler Geodrones where they discussed the latest in UAV technology as well as performed demonstrations. Also at the event were representatives from Microdrones including Chuck Dorgan, Sales Director Americas, Bret Burghdurf, Marketing Director Americas, and Sebastien Long, Sales Manager.

Seiler GeoDrones kicked off the Drone Demo Day with a presentation led by Travis LeMoine, Director of Emerging Technologies for the Geospatial Division. His overview covered drone technology, payloads and included some sample data from recent drone flights.

Sebastien Long then reviewed putting to Microdrones to work. His presentation covered how Microdrones Solutions can help collect data efficiently and safely while cutting costs, saving time, and converting data into useful information.

Outside, the Seiler Instrument team had a drone demonstration prepared with the mdLiDAR1000.  They reviewed the Microdrones workflow of Plan, Fly, Process and Visualize, then created a brief mission. The crowd watched as the drone captured data from above. After completing the drone demonstrations and enjoying lunch, the team presented the data that was captured in a point cloud visualization.
