Well networked in the UAV community in North America

»With over 2,100 member organisations in 60 countries, the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is the world’s largest non-profit organisation concerned exclusively with the promotion of the community for unmanned systems and robotics. With over 7,000 members from governmental organisations, industry and academic institutions, AUVSI is dedicated to the promotion and development of unmanned systems and robotic technology. AUVSI members support defence, civil and commercial  sectors.«

Well networked in the
UAV community in Europe

UVS International is a non-profit association registered with the Chamber of Commerce in The Hague, The Netherlands, and operates out of offices in Paris, France. It represents manufacturers of unmanned vehicle systems (UVS), subsystems and critical components for UVS and associated equipment, as well as companies supplying services with or for UVS, research organizations and academia. In this context, UVS should be understood as re-useable and expendable unmanned air, ground and naval vehicle systems, as well as non-reusable unmanned air, ground and naval target systems.«

microdrones is involved with UVS International’s work mainly on a European level, participating in working groups, conferences, etc.

Well networked in the
UAV Community in Germany

Among other activities, UAV-DACH is a forum for:

  • Introducing UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) in civil airspace
  • Evaluating technologies for approval
  • Specifying research needs e.g. for sense & avoid, data links, etc.
  • Certifiability of necessary technologies
  • Forum for manufacturers and users

The objectives of the group include developing norms for suitability requirements of UAVs in close cooperation with international organisations, to allow UAVS to fly in controlled airspace.

microdrones is engaged in UAV-DACH’s work in Germany, and is actively involved in working groups such as the air traffic law group. Events like trade shows and demonstrations are also actively supported.
