Meet Samuel Flick: Your UAV Expert for Europe


Did you know Microdrones has expert sales representatives positioned around the globe, ready to help customers who want to get started using unmanned systems? We wanted to give potential customers a chance to get to know a little about their local UAV Experts.

Sara Furlong, Microdrones content marketing manager, interviewed our European sales manager, Samuel Flick, to introduce those in his region to the person who can help them get off the ground.

Sara:
Hi, Samuel! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. First off, can you tell me what countries are covered in your region?

Samuel:
Sure! I am focused on Central and Southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Italy, and the Balkans.

Sara:
And how long have you worked for Microdrones?

Samuel:
I was hired by Microdrones in October of 2015. And it has been a pleasure being a part of this team and working for this company.

Sara:
What did you do before working for Microdrones?

Samuel:
I was an independent salesperson for years. Working with multiple companies gave me insight into how to help businesses be more successful. I love that I continue to do that in my current position with Microdrones.

Sara:
What do you like best about working for Microdrones?

Samuel:
There are so many things. I love that we have such a strong, reliable product that offers so many significant benefits for customers. It is enjoyable to offer a product that provides such outstanding data that our clients can use to improve their business. I also like that our company is flexible. We can solve problems for our customers quickly and we’re dedicated to doing so. Plus the industry is growing rapidly and Microdrones is thriving. That, of course, is very fun.

Sara:
I agree! It is a very fun place to work! You never have a boring day.

Samuel:
No. You don’t. And I appreciate that everyday I get to learn more and more. I am very interested in what I am doing. I love to learn new ways to help my customers.

Sara:
Is that part of what makes your position so satisfying?

Samuel:
Absolutely. In fact, I would say that is the biggest part of what makes my job satisfying. I really enjoy working hard to understand what my customers are doing and how I can help them get better, work faster, save money, and improve their products. I am dealing with all different types of companies on a daily basis – from the largest to the smallest, in many different fields. This gives me a lot of insight into what can truly meet their needs.

Sara:
What is it about our products that you feel provides the greatest benefit for businesses?

Samuel:
That’s easy because our mdMapper solutions impact workflows significantly. They make jobs a lot faster, safer, and more cost-effective. The added efficiency makes companies more profitable. Plus, employees are happy because using drones removes hassles associated with their job. It’s great to be able to provide such an effective solution to customers.

Sara:
Last question. What do you do when you’re not helping businesses improve themselves with drone solutions?

Samuel:
I spend time with my family. I have a wife and two children, ages one and three. We like to go for bike rides and play sports. At the end of the day, that is what counts. Your family is what matters. At least that’s what I think.
