Schübeler Technologies products are today commonly used by industry leaders for aerospace, automotive, robotics and defense applications.
We are looking for a seasoned engineer with strong expertise in aerodynamics with preferably experience in the aeronautics / aerospace industry. Within this new position, you will dive deeper into the aerodynamic design, rotor dynamics and mechanical design of electrically driven turbomachinery. You should bring with you the knowledge to optimize the machines in terms of efficiency, robustness and lightweight construction.
In return, we offer you state-of-the-art materials for your tasks, a dynamic team and exciting theoretical as well as practical challenges. You will also be in touch with engineering teams of our customers (mostly U.S. and Western European customers). Ideally, you have several years of experience in Aero-Design, lightweight and solid structures are a matter of course for you.
Schübeler Technologies’ main location is in Paderborn, Germany but a large portion of our customers are located in the US. You will be working remotely during U.S. working hours. You will be employed by our U.S. subsidiary and if you are interested, you could work from our Huntsville, AL, office.
Your tasks
- You support our development team and develop aero-solutions for our new products
- You design complete components and assemblies regarding technical and regulatory requirements
- You are responsible for performing computational fluid analysis and related CAD design
- You perform cost engineering as well as supply chain preparation
- You work closely with the production department and are responsible for a smooth transition from R&D to production
Your profile
- You have successfully completed a degree in aerospace engineering or similar
- You have extensive work experience with the design and analysis of aerospace propulsion systems
- The safe and ready-to-use handling of a relevant CAD program as well as computational analysis tools, especially CFD is required
- You have an independent, creative way of working and are interested in developing new ideas
- You enjoy collegiality with colleagues and reciprocal exchange of know how
- You have a good sense of discernment and coordination skills
- Clear, appreciative communication combined with assertiveness
- You speak English fluently
- Your results-oriented and structured way of working as well as your teamwork complete your profile
