The pilot will be responsible for providing technical support to customers in Australia, maintaining and repairing equipment and conducting test and demonstration fights. The candidate will work in collaboration with colleagues in Australia and with Lead Support in Germany.

  • Customer Support:
    • Support customers in Australia and answer their questions
    • Perform flight demonstrations for future clients
    • Conduct ground and flight training for new clients
    • Maintaining and repairing equipment
  • Plan commercial UAV missions:
    • Analyze requests for commercial missions to highlight the relevant regulatory considerations
    • Review the regulatory considerations applicable to each mission
    • Create mission plans (flight plan and payload operation plan)
    • Prepare the equipment
  • Execute flight missions:
    • Operate Microdrones systems (md4-200, md4-1000, md4-3000)
    • Test, on the ground and in flight, systems / payloads for Quality Assurance
    • Test, on the ground and in flight, systems / payloads in support of development
    • Document the tasks performed in the Atlassian system (Jira / Confluence)
    • Gather aerial data
    • Prepare data for post-processing
  • Qualification in one of the following: aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, avionics, electronics OR extensive equivalent work experience
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • RePL multi rotor sub 25kg class
  • Sound knowledge of CASA Regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Australia, NZ and PNG
  • Unrestricted C class drivers license
  • An unrestricted right to work in Australia
  • Experience in aerial surveying, spatial data capture and processing
