Reporting to the Director of mdSolutions, the Geomatics Engineer will lead the development of our professional UAV packages; mdMapper Solutions.

  • Work on various Geomatics engineering projects in the field of GPS, Inertial, Photogrammetry and Airborne Mapping
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to research and develop various hardware/software products in the Geomatics engineering field
  • Closely collaborate with business and sales, flight operation, hardware, software and web R&D teams to evaluate the needs and build business cases toward the commercialization of new mdMapping solutions
  • Manage data processing, analysis and quality control for GPS, Inertial, Photogrammetry, and other geospatial data
  • Establish and implement standards and procedures for Geomatics engineering project development, maintenance and administration
  • Manage status meetings, produces status update reports and technical reports
  • A university degree in Geomatics, Geospatial, Survey engineering or related discipline – a Master’s degree is an asset
  • Relevant experience in Geomatics engineering project and product management
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of GNSS, Photogrammetry, and Remote Sensing principles and practices
  • Knowledge of the concepts of GNSS data acquisition, processing and quality control
  • Knowledge of the concepts of photogrammetric data acquisition, processing and quality control
  • Superior communications skills to professionally and effectively interact with colleagues, employees, and clients
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, investigative, report writing, and problem solving skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English - speaking French is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
