Location: Brooklyn – Columbia Waterfront, NY (preferred) or Richmond Hill, NY

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (with core working time between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. to have a significant overlap with Beijing Time Zone)

Salary: Hourly Rate TBD

Education: High school or equivalent

Language: English and Mandarin (Required)

Other Requirements: Authorized to work in the US

Your TASKS:

In this newly created position in our New York office, you will be translating technical documents and presentations and facilitate the flow of information between various teams in Canada/the US and China with your interpreting skills. Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, edit, translate and deliver internal webinars in various subjects, such as product, general geomatics and processing knowledge, maintenance program, business model etc. regularly and report questions back to Chief Technology Officer
  • Work closely with Chief Technology Officer to organize and facilitate internal communication
  • Support to question-answer between Chinese and US/Canadian teams Prepare, edit, translate and deliver documents
  • Translate and Interpret between English and Mandarin languages
  • Redact and maintain the documents with changes requirement and specification
YOUR SKILLS:
  • Excellent Mandarin and English language skills in both editing and writing
  • 1 – 2 years of experience working in an English / Chinese professional environment, ideally in a technology company
  • Independency, ability to communicate clearly and effectively and excellent self-organization skills
  • Excellent desktop publishing skills, including strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other MS-Office applications
  • Attention to detail, focused on effectiveness and accuracy, able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and flexibility around working hours
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences
  • A technical degree or experience in a technical field is an advantage
