Continuous monitoring of procurement markets, conducting price and contract negotiations and concluding framework agreements with national and international suppliers
Perform benchmarks, price and value analyzes and cost reduction measures
General: be responsible for procurement of assigned component categories, monitor existing supplier relationships, prospect supplier base and develop new suppliers relationships; first contact for fundamental procurement issues and advices
Market knowledge: continuous monitoring of procurement markets and industry practice and industry trends for the assigned components on a global basis.
Supplier management: Monitor, audit and continuously improve quality and delivery performance of the assigned suppliers. If needed, propose corrective actions and ensure follow-up. Introduce and manage supplier development plans and specific cost reduction projects.
Contract negotiations: Introduce, negotiate and manage terms and pricing of supply contracts with the support of legal team and in accordance with existing processes.
Master data: Apply and maintain supplier and procurement data within the company ERP system for the assigned commodities. Control and release purchase orders and supplier invoices.
Purchasing processes: together with global head of purchasing and legal team, help build purchasing function and design and implement appropriate purchasing processes to support company’s fast expansion
Quality management: execute supplier selection audits and follow-up corrective actions at suppliers.
Several years of relevant experience in strategic purchasing in a technical environment (f.e. Automotive, Electronics or Aerospace)
Technical Master or Bachelor with commercial affinity or Economical master with an important technical affinity or a first industrial experience
Best practices in strategic purchasing (RFI, RFQ, benchmarking, supplier evaluation and development, contract definition, price negotiations…)
Good knowledge of logistic processes (VMI, cost of inventory, consignment, 2-bin, incoterms…)
Good knowledge in business administration (product costing, production KPI, legal)
Successful experience in project management and/or contract negotiations
Eager and able to work in international environment and to travel
Intercultural experience, preferably with international vendors
ERP systems, MS Navision or SAP
Proficient in English (writing and speaking)
High level of integrity and ethics are pre-requisites for this position. High sense of ownership and accountability, responsiveness and open-mindedness are key skills for this position.
