The pilot will be responsible for providing technical support to customers in the Americas. As part of the Flight Ops and Customer Support team, under the immediate supervision of the Flight Operations & Customer Support Manager, you will:

TASKS:
  • Participate in the maintenance of a fleet of drones:
    • Configure each UAV with the required payload and accessories for its intended mission
    • Perform pre-mission testing
  • Plan commercial UAV missions:
    • Analyze requests for commercial missions to highlight the relevant regulatory considerations
    • Review the regulatory considerations applicable to each mission
    • Prepare SFOC requests for UAV operations
    • Create mission plans (flight plan and payload operation plan)
    • Prepare the equipment
  • Execute flight missions:
    • Operate Microdrones systems (md4-200, md4-1000, md4-3000)
    • Test, on the ground and in flight, systems / payloads for Quality Assurance
    • Test, on the ground and in flight, systems / payloads in support of development
    • Document the tasks performed in the Atlassian system (Jira / Confluence)
    • Gather aerial data
    • Prepare data for post-processing
  • If necessary:
    • Support customers and answer their questions
    • Perform flight demonstrations for future clients
    • Conduct ground and flight training for new clients
YOUR SKILLS:
  • Technician Degree (AEC/DEC) in aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, avionics, electronics or equivalent work experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent in French and English, Spanish an asset
  • UAV experience (hobbyist or professional)
  • Autonomous
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of JIRA an asset
  • Pilot license (private or commercial) an asset
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations an asset
