DRON LIDAR

Learn about integrated professional grade LiDAR systems on drones at Vector 2019 with Microdrones

Join Microdrones April 15 - 17 at the Vector Symposium in Rimouski, Québec. This year's conference merges the VisionGÉOMATIQUE and CIDCO Symposium into one event, named VECTOR, and is organized by the Centre de géomatique du Québec (CGQ) and CIDCO in partnership with Technopole Maritime du Québec (TMQ).

STÉFANIE VAN-WIERTS, from Microdrones, presents about point clouds and professional grade imagery made with drones.

On Tuesday, April 16th, at 10:30am, Stéfanie Van-Wierts, Microdrones LiDAR mdSolutions Development Lead, will give a presentation on point cloud and professional grade imaging by drones. This presentation focuses on the development and evaluation of integrated professional grade LiDAR systems on drones, specifically, the mdLiDAR1000 and mdLiDAR3000.

The entry-level Microdrones mdLiDAR1000 product integrates a md4-1000 Microdrones drone, a PointGrey Chameleon camera, a Trimble APX15 GNSS-INS system, and a SICK LD-MRS LiDAR.

The mdLiDAR3000 Microdrones high-end series includes a md4-3000 Microdrones drone, a SONY Rx1RII camera, a Trimble APX20 GNSS-INS system and a Riegl LiDAR (miniVUX-1UAV, miniVUX-1DL and VUX-1UAV). Added to its integrated systems is a suite of software and procedures for flight planning, data acquisition, data processing and quality control. Several parameters individually or collectively affect the quality and final accuracy of the map product.

The presentation will also highlight the accuracy achievable by the various systems integrated with GNSS-INS, camera and LiDAR. as well as proof of performance from completed flight missions in both Canada and the United States.

In addition, look for representatives from Microdrones at the Cansel exhibitor booth throughout the duration of the conference.  If you're unable to attend, but would still like to learn more about mdLiDAR, schedule an appointment today!
