Touching down in Bossier City, Louisiana, the Microdrones World Tour recently participated in the 2021 Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors Convention with our distribution partner Navigation Electronics (NEI).
Chuck Snow, the Microdrones Sales Manager for the Southern United States joined NEI team members, William Poche, Owner and VP of Sales, and Ross Kenney, the UAS Sales and Support Lead.
“This was an excellent opportunity for me to get to meet and work with the team at NEI,” said Snow. “We were able to connect and network with local surveyors and potential customers while showing off our all-new mdLiDAR1000HR aaS system. Ross Kenney gave a fantastic presentation on the functionality, applications, and deliverables of this new drone LiDAR.”
Ross Kenney hosted a presentation that gave an overview of the next generation of Microdrones leading drone Lidar system, the mdLiDAR1000HR aaS.
“We’re excited to show off this new system to our customers,” Kenney said. “Better yet, is letting them look at the data because the scanner is so dense, we get many more points than we would have with the mdLiDAR1000. The level of detail is phenomenal. A few of the projects I’ve flown, really demonstrate the versatility of this system and how it can be used in hard surface environments, to scan power lines, and cut through thick, vegetation. There’s a wide variety of applications for this new system.”

Chuck also commented that the turnout at the convention was good and the presentation was well attended. “It was great to share some stories and chat with local surveyors,” said Chuck. “There was a lot of interest in our new system and Microdrones as a Service.“
