1. What is unique about working with/for our Software Development Team at Microdrones?
Eva: Let’s not beat around the bush: there are a lot of opportunities out there for good Software Developers. But I think what is unique about working with our Software Team at Microdrones is that we offer an outstanding mixture of exciting products and projects to work on, an agile, international and diverse team, personal and professional growth and the kind of career perspective that only a fast-paced and growing company can offer. At Microdrones, we know it is the people who make our company a success and from our developers I often hear the fact that they actually have a real, visible impact on our products and the workflow of our clients is a great experience for them.
2. What are some of the challenges that our developers face?
I think one of the challenges is probably the impact of the fast paced environment we operate in. Our industry is still evolving, sometimes we have to deal with changing legal requirements or we shift our focus based on our clients’ feedback. Our developers have to be not only able to adapt to this environment, they should blossom in it.
3. What opportunities are available for professional development?
We believe developing our employees professionally and personally contributes to the happiness of our staff and the overall success of the company. This is why we provide on the job training and regular internal training opportunities (within the development function but also cross-functional – who does not want to learn how to fly a drone?). Moreover we support our developers to attend conferences, training and technology events to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments.
4. What’s your favorite part about working at Microdrones?
I think my favorite part about working at Microdrones is the people. I know it sounds cliché but it’s the truth, at Microdrones I feel like I am part of something big and I know a lot of my colleagues feel the same. That results in a unique spirit, great team work and having fun at work which I think is really important.
