The Microdrones World Tour continues and we join Samuel Flick, Microdrones European Sales Manager, as he makes his February rounds at three local trade shows representing Microdrones and their suppliers.
Trimble Express Allterra Germany North
Samuel attended the Trimble Express Allterra Germany North Trade Show in support of Allterra and for the opportunity to network with their customers. At the show, Trimble invited customers and interested parties to events and informative lectures that gave an overview of the latest developments in Trimble. Participants also had opportunities to try out the latest Trimble instruments and share their experiences with other attendees.
Most of the participants are companies interested in working in surveying and mapping. Samuel noted that, “Overall, there is an increased demand for drones and their support systems. Many of the customers I spoke with are becoming more acquainted with the technology and are looking for the proper solutions to meet their needs. They are becoming better educated in the field of drones which gives us a great opportunity to showcase how Microdrones can present the best solutions.”
SITECH CONSTRUCTION LIVE (SCL) in Hamm
SCL – SITECH Construction Live, was an event geared for the construction industry with a focus on current solutions for construction equipment control, construction surveying and the digital networking of construction processes. The event showcased the latest construction technology, software and the opportunity to network with other construction professionals.
At the event, Samuel delivered a presentation on Microdrones Integrated Systems, workflows, and the latest updates to a room full of construction professionals. The attendees asked about data collection, analysis and were also interested in learning more about German drone laws and how UAV’s can be used for Building Information Modeling.
Samuel said, “We know there are many applications for drones in the construction sector, and the industry is taking notice. At my presentation I fielded many questions about the technology, data collection methodology, and the overall planning process required to put Microdrones to work. This was a great opportunity to showcase Microdrones integrated systems to many interested prospects.
SITECH CONSTRUCTION LIVE (SCL) in Alsfeld
Samuel attended another SCL event is Alsfeld where in addition to giving another Microdrones presentation, he also demonstrated some of the capabilities of the mdMapper200 during a test flight.
The mdMapper200 is the entry level aerial mapping package, perfect for aerial surveying, mapping, and precision agriculture, to help complete projects faster, more accurately and gain a competitive edge.
During the demonstration, the attendees were surprised by how quietly the drone operated. Samuel said, “Giving a presentation is a nice way to introduce an audience to our systems but watching the actual mdMapper200 in action really catches their attention. I’m able to demonstrate our workflow in real time, from start to finish, by showing them how to Plan, Fly, Process and Visualize. Prospects get to see our mcCockpit tablet application in detail, and see how easy it can be to chart your course, set the flight plan and collect data.”
